The Elder Scrolls Online: Own A Piece Of Tamriel When Player Housing Comes Out Early 2017

eso-player-housing-newsJust a few days after the game-changing launch of the One Tamriel update, players now have something new to look forward to – player housing. The Elder Scrolls Online Game Director, Matt Firor, discussed ZeniMax’s plans for in-game player housing on last night’s episode of the YouTube Gaming stream.

“Housing is, you know, something that when you think about giant online RPG's and MMO's, that's something that players love, and it all goes back to being social. The houses are race-based. We have a small, medium, and large house for each race. The way we’re gonna do it is, any player can go on a quest when housing launches early next year and can get an apartment for free as their starter home. Then, with in-game gold, they can buy better houses."

Firor also explained that houses will be account-based and that players will be able to freely decorate their home with hundreds of items, saying that,” The philosophy is, give them a whole lot of cool things and allow them to put them in the house however they want.” Players will also be able to craft their own furniture and even sell their creations to other players.

Aside from player housing, Firor also talked about One Tamriel and their Trip of a Lifetime sweepstakes. Check out the full stream below.
