PlanetSide 2 Kicks Off Its Annual Nanite Of The Living Dead Halloween Event
Rogue Planet Games has kicked off Halloween festivities in PlanetSide 2 with the return of its annual Nanite of the Living Dead event. The event will run until October 31st and will feature the usual array of seasonal directives and activities with a fresh new twist added for this year’s run.
Sanctuary has once again been adorned with Halloween decorations and pick-up trick-or-treat missions that reward special masks. Players can also hunt down and squash pumpkins scattered across the map like previous iterations of the event. For this year, however, a mysterious abandoned carrier will regularly spawn on Amerish, Esamir, Hossin, and Indar during a 15-minute alert. Once the carrier spawns, factions will need to smash the required number of pumpkins to gain access to the carrier which they can then use to attack one of the other opposing factions.
Those who’d rather stick to actual combat rather than go smashing space pumpkins, can expect new empire-specific main battle tank cannons, new corsair abilities, construction improvements, various tweaks to Oshur, and a new NC armor set later this month.
