PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds Has Sold One Million Copies

PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds has been an instant success since the moment it went live on Steam Early Access on March 23rd. The game made a staggering $11 million in its first 3 days on Steam Early Access and continued to sell copy after copy from there. It has now been 16 days since launch and developer Bluehole has announced that the game has sold a total of one million copies. If it were an album, it would have gone platinum—and it hasn't even officially launched.

Brendan Greene, aka PLAYERUNKNOWN himself, had the following to say about the announcement.

We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the dedication of our players and we are truly humbled by their passionate response. As we move to make improvements and deliver new content we will actively engage this growing fan base.

If you want to join the one million people and counting that have purchased PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds, you can purchase it via Steam for $29.99.
