While Playerunknown's Battlegrounds on the PC has been losing players over the last 6 months, PUBG Mobile has been a huge success. Tencent Games and PUBG Corp announced today that PUBG Mobile hit a new milestone - 100 million downloads and 14 million daily active users. Those numbers are worldwide excluding China, South Korea, and Japan, which makes the figures even more impressive.

On launch week PUBG Mobile was the most downloaded game in over 100 countries and was one of the first mobile games to achieve that. The game's popularity has translated into meaningful revenue for PUBG Corp and Tencent. According to mobile analytics firm Sensor Tower, the game has brought in over $50 Million since launching outside of China.

“We want to thank our committed development team at Lightspeed and Quantum Studios and especially thank the devoted players around the world that continue to inspire us with their passion and dedication,” said Vincent Wang, the General Manager of PUBG MOBILE global publishing team. “We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great contents to our players later this year.”

Unlike Fortnite Mobile which is the exact same game as the PC version of the game, PUBG Mobile is a different game, but with largely the same experience. Aiming is a lot easier as it has aim assist and the game matches new players with AI opponents to ease them into the game.
