PUBG Releases Patch Notes For 1.0 Update #2

pubg battlegrounds breach flames

PUBG has been having some issues with cheaters and aimbotters, as many people can attest to. The popular game has many players who don't care about playing fair and square, and merely want to see that "#1" at the end of the game. In their patch notes announcement, PUBG Corp renews their drive to provide a good gameplay experience, and is also adding on to their existing crate system, with two new crates - one free, and one requiring a key. As for the actual gameplay and world changes, you can check those out below.

  • World
    • Added more objects around La Bendita on Miramar to increase cover
  • Gameplay
    • Reduced visible distance when parachuting, to test optimization of server and client at the early phases of the game.
  • Items
    • Energy drinks have been visually re-designed
  • UI/UX
    • Adjusted squad team colors, to better reflect callout names (yellow, orange, blue, green)
    • Added a function where players can select more detailed criteria for the "Cheating" category in the in-game report tool
  • Replays
    • Player can now check the current weapon of the player by pressing G, when the player's nameplate is on (H key)
    • Can now report in replays by pressing the Right Mouse Button on the player list (TAB key)
    • Players can now watch replays without extra delay in solo mode, when the player won the match, when all teammates are eliminated.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed the issue where when a player lands from the plane the position of character teleports intermittently
    • Fixed the issue where character animation is frozen when rejoining after a crash
    • Fixed the issue where the red zone disappears instantly after it formed
    • Fixed the issue where some vehicles spawned on Miramar are stuck to an object and unable to move
    • Fixed the issue where a player sometimes couldn’t pass through a door even though it was open
    • Fixed the issue where mouse cursor would disappear on a replay map
    • Fixed the issue where when replay and death cam were played, the crosshair was bouncing
    • Fixed the issue where the falling speed meter text was showing abnormally in Portuguese

Additionally, the two new crates are known as "DESPERADO," and "BIKER." The DESPERADO crate is a paid crate, and the BIKER crate is free for all players. The new chances of receiving a crate go as follows:

  • 40% Chance for DESPERADO
  • 40% Chance for BIKER
  • 10% Chance for Wanderer
  • 10% Chance for Survivor

There are a lot of new items in these two crates, however, the chances of receiving anything good are, by and large, absolute garbage. You can find the full list of items here, but receiving something that players would call "rare" from the DESPERADO crate is 1.30% or below, and receiving something that players would call "rare" from the BIKER crate is frequently below 1% - with the rarest items being 0.01%.
