Aion 2 Sets September 2026 Date for Worldwide PC Launch
NC confirmed at Summer Game Fest 2026 that Aion 2 will launch worldwide on PC via Steam and PURPLE in September 2026. The MMORPG previously debuted in South Korea and Taiwan in November 2025. The global release will include dedicated servers across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, with support for multiple languages including French.
Set in the fantasy world of Atreia, Aion 2 combines exploration with aerial and ground battles. The global launch expands the game's availability to players in additional regions.
What's confirmed so far
- Launch window and platforms: A worldwide PC release is planned for September 2026 via Steam and PURPLE.
- Prior availability: The game launched in South Korea and Taiwan in November 2025.
- Combat system: Flight is built directly into combat rather than serving only as traversal. Players can fight in the air, use aerial maneuvers, and adjust their positioning alongside traditional tab-targeting gameplay.
- PvE structure: The game includes solo dungeons, four-player instances, and eight-player raids.
- PvP and customization: Summer Game Fest Play Days demonstrations highlighted open-world PvP battles, advanced character customization, and a class system set in Atreia.
- Newsletter rewards: Signing up for the official newsletter provides the Pagati familiar and a choice of a second companion, both usable at launch.
NC has not yet laid out the full main storyline for the global version. The publisher has said that additional details on content, balance, and future updates are expected before the servers go live in September.
