Rising Thunder Build 1423 Adds Spectating and More

Rising Thunder, the free to play fighting game designed specifically for the PC, launched build 1423 which introduces numerous new features to the game as well as some balance changes. The biggest changes with this update include bigger lobbies (up to 8 players) and the ability to spectate an active match. Lobby matches are quite fun, because even though only 2 players are fighting at once, everyone gets to spectate and the winner stays and someone else from the lobby gets their shot at taking down the victor. This style of play is actually really fun because it emulates the real life experience when playing 1v1 fighting games with friends.

Another noteworthy change in this update is the game's engine optimizations which increase performance. According to the patch notes, a min-spec laptop should be able to maintain 60 frames throughout the entire duration of a match. Along with the performance boost, the game also enjoyed some visual improvements. Lastly, the update also adds a ping filter to the game, which automatically cancels a match before it begins if a player's ping is too high. This is a solid feature, as it eliminates the need to play unpleasant, laggy games.
