Rockstar Games Says Next GTA Game Is In The Works, Announces GTA V Next-Gen Launch

Rockstar Games confirms that work on the next Grand Theft Auto game is now underway in their latest community update. The studio, however, isn’t done with GTA V just yet and have laid out their plans for the game for the next few months, which includes a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release next month for both the base game and GTA Online.

Apart from the benefit of higher resolutions and faster loading times, the next-gen version of GTA Online will also come with a variety of new features such as career paths and a new in-game vehicle customization shop called Hao’s Special Works where players can tune up their rides and increase their performance.

The Contract, which bridged the gap between GTA V and GTA Online when it came out late last year, will also be getting an update that will allow players to start Short Trip missions without the need to go through the The Contract’s story missions first.
