Free Reign Entertainment's "free-to-win" zombie survival game, Romero's Aftermath, has hit one million users. Despite being yet another incarnation of The WarZ and Infestation: Survivor Stories, Aftermath is seeing quite a bit of success as a free-to-play game. According to Free Reign Entertainment, almost 750,000 of those users started playing the game through Steam. Design Lead Adam Skidmore seems confident in their game, as he is quote saying "Now that we’ve surpassed one million players we see that our approach to development combined with George C. Romero’s input is exactly what players wanted. We hope to see more gamers join in the fun and have Aftermath be their go-to survival-horror game."

As a celebration of this milestone and Halloween, in-game currency can be purchased at 50% off until November 1st. Limited edition Halloween gun skins and clothing are also available during this time.

To join the one million users and counting, head over to the official website or the Steam store page.
