RuneFest Has Almost Sold Out, To Reveal More About The Eastern Islands
Tickets to RuneFest 2016—which will be held on September 17th—just went on sale a week ago, but they have already almost sold out. In fact, the event is very close to selling out in record time. If you want to go to RuneFest, now is the time to get your ticket! The Eastern Islands are the theme of this year's RuneFest and attendees can expect to be "festooned in the finery of the Eastern Isles."
Jagex announced today that it will be discussing more details about the upcoming additions to the Eastern Islands at RuneFest. The first set of islands, The Arc, went live the other day, but it is only the beginning.
RuneFest is also set to include "[Eastern Islands] themed activities, including a cosplay parade, challenges, Q&A sessions with key developers, meet and greets, a huge after-party, and a raft of other distractions and diversions," along with the obligatory set of announcements for each of Jagex's live RuneScape titles—RuneScape, Old School RuneScape, and Chronicle: RuneScape Legends.
RuneScape Lead Designer David Osborne had the following to say about the announcement.
We can’t wait to meet up with our fellow ‘Scapers at RuneFest 2016 as they join us for an intrepid celebration as RuneScape pushes new horizons. We’ll be showcasing the new frontiers of the Eastern Isles and announce some of new content heading to RuneScape in the year ahead. We’ll also be unveiling our plans for other games in the family, including Old School RuneScape and its ever growing popularity in the eSports sector, mobile versions of Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, and the upcoming 0.5-player game, RuneScape: Idle Adventures.
