Shadowverse To Get New Expansion "Near The End Of The Year"

While it has not yet been officially announced—and thus, we know neither the theme nor the name—a representative from Cygames confirmed in a recent interview with TechRaptor that Shadowverse will be getting a new expansion "near the end of the year," which is in line with the company's plans to release a new expansion every three months. Fans are interpreting this to mean that we can expect the expansion to be released at the end of December. The current theory, which is based on when the previous expansion, Darkness Evolved, was announced in relation to when it was released, is that we will be hearing more about the new expansion as early as next week.

Other interesting notes from the interview include the fact that the game has a balance team that is constantly working to ensure that what has come to be known as "power creep" never occurs. According to the Cygames representative that was interviewed, the team's "number one goal is ultimately to make sure that Shadowverse is as dynamic and fun to play as possible." Interestingly, in working towards this goal, the team was "hoping to make Havencraft in particular more viable" with the release of the Darkness Evolved expansion.
