Social adventure game Sky: Children of the Light has kicked off a brand-new season called Season of the Nine-Colored Deer which is a nod at its developer Thatgamecompany’s other adventure game, Journey.

The impressive 2012 PlayStation title revolves around two characters who embark on a treacherous journey across a vast desert to reach a mysterious mountain peak. Now, Sky: Children of the Light players can embark on a new Journey-inspired adventure of their own.

“Protected by the legendary Nine-Colored Deer, chaos emerges in Sky’s sacred realms after a traitor disrupts the peace, leading players to take matters into their own hands and reverse the damage brought upon the world.”

Players will be tasked with helping the titular guardian save the world as they explore a ravaged desert. Along the way, they’ll meet five new spirits, unlock a new friendship tree, and earn new cosmetics and emotes.

The new season will run until March 31st and will be available for free to those who’ve already completed the Hopeful Steward’s fourth quest in Aviary Village. A season pass is also available for purchase with additional rewards waiting to be unlocked.
