SkyForge Talks Future Plans in Producer Letter 2017

As both gamers and game producers look towards the new year, SkyForge looks back on some of their accomplishments for 2017, in their "SkyForge Producer Letter 2017."

Looking Back

Coming to Steam was a major milestone for SkyForge, and they're quite proud of that - especially since they broke into the Top 5 Most Played Games on their launch weekend. On top of that, SkyForge is available on the PS4, and is is also available on the Xbox One. The Revenant class came swinging in, and the Equipment system was reworked. Additionally, the Thea update is a personal highpoint for the development team, but consoles running SkyForge lag behind a bit in updates.

Going Forward

Why should consoles be left behind in updates? While developing for multiple platforms at once can be challenging, SkyForge hopes to bring its patches to PC, PS4, and Xbox One all at the same time.

Additionally, since the Ascension update, updating the user interface is on the table. SkyForge teases first previews of the UI update in the first half of 2017, so stay tuned! Seriously, it says 2017 in the source material. I think they meant 2018.

Additionally, reworking and improving PvP is a priority - both from the developers, and the community to see a usable PvP system. It was one of the highest-ranked issues in SkyForge's most recent survey, after all. And last but not least...

To close this producer letter, I would like to thank you all very much for being part of this Skyforge experience. We are looking forward to the great and exciting year 2018 with many new things in store for Skyforge that we will be sharing with all of you.

A big Thank You also goes out to our Volunteer Staff that works so tirelessly on helping us and all players with problems big and small. This would not be possible without your amazing efforts. Thank you!

With this, we here at my.com would like to wish you a peaceful Christmas time and a great start into 2018. See you again next year!
