Star Trek Online Holds Torchlight Vigil In Honor Of Late Actor Aron Eisenberg

The Star Trek Online community held an in-game torchlight vigil at Quark’s Bar in Deep Space 9 last Saturday to pay their last respects to actor Aron Eisenberg. Eisenberg was known for his role as Nog, the first Ferengi to join Starfleet, and a recurring character in the TV series, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Nog also made a number of appearances in the game voiced by none other than Eisenberg himself.

Eisenberg passed away on Sunday, September 22nd at the age of 50 due to unrevealed reasons. The sad news was confirmed by Eisenberg’s wife, Malissa Longo on Facebook. “It is with extreme regret and sadness to announce that my love and best friend, Aron Eisenberg, passed away earlier today,” Longo wrote. “There will never be another light like Aron's. The beauty that he was and the legacy he leaves behind is beyond words. I love him dearly and will miss him eternally.”
