Two More Of Star Wars The Old Republic’s Servers Are Heading For The Cloud
Broadsword Online Games continues its efforts to migrate the Star Wars The Old Republic servers to the cloud which started with the Leviathan server earlier this month. The studio is now preparing to transport the Tulak Hord and Darth Malgus servers up into the digital clouds.
The transfer is scheduled to begin on August 30th at 5 a.m. PDT with an expected maintenance downtime of roughly six hours for both servers. All other existing servers will only be down for maintenance for about an hour.
The announcement thread will be updated with related information in the lead up to the transfer and as it happens. After the transfer, the comments section will be opened up for player feedback, reports, and complaints. Those who experience more severe issues are advised to contact customer support.
Speaking of issues, the Leviathan servers transfer seems to have been completed without a hitch, although players did note on Reddit that performance didn’t seem to have improved nor did it get worse, which is good news all things considered.
