Starlight ReVolver Promises To Deliver Co-Op Dungeon Crawling with Anime Flair

Pahdo Labs’ newly announced multiplayer co-op dungeon delver Starlight ReVolver (stylized Starlight Re:Volver) is about to blast its way into our hearts with its vibrant, anime-inspired world and action-packed gameplay. If you’ve ever wanted to explore fantastical dungeons with friends while embracing the kind of pastel magic that only anime can deliver, this one’s for you.

In Starlight ReVolver, up to four players can join forces to delve into the dreamlike world of So Mi, powered by a mysterious device known as the Re:Volver. Players can choose from a roster of colorful, anime-inspired characters and explore a variety of dungeon biomes—from floating islands to interstellar space stations. The game’s combat system is fast, flashy, and filled with magical combo attacks, perfect for chaining abilities with your teammates. Plus, there's a twist: smashing crystals in the environment can alter the terrain, leading to hidden treasures or new paths.

Creative Director Alijah Ladd explained the game’s design philosophy in an interview with Game Rant: “We wanted to create a game where friends can come together, and it wouldn’t be a headache trying to decide what to play.” Ladd’s anime influences, from the late ‘90s and early 2000s, are evident in the game’s aesthetic, making it a visual feast for fans of the genre.

But Starlight ReVolver isn’t just about dungeon delving. Players can relax in the social hub, the Nishi Island Metropolis (NIM), where they can craft, fish, stargaze, or simply hang out with friends—oh, and there are pastel-colored cats to pet.

Currently in development, the colorful dungeon delver is aiming to enter Early Access soon, with Pahdo Labs planning to expand the game with more bosses, characters, and content as they refine the experience over one to two years. While the official Early Access date hasn’t been announced yet, one thing’s for sure: this co-op adventure is shaping up to be a charming escape into a magical world where friendship is as important as combat.
