Stronghold Kingdoms Begins Global Conflict

The world of Stronghold Kingdoms became quite a lot bigger today with the launch of Global Conflict. The MMO version of the classic RTS series added a staggering 151 countries in its last update. The end result is a virtual map of the entire world to battle it out on in medieval fashion.

Previously, the map only provided a virtual version of Europe. The team at Firefly hopes that this new addition "opens up completely new strategic possibilities." Each server will contain thousands of players on each map. Combined with the "renewed emphasis on PvP," this new patch aims to provide war on a scale never before seen in Stronghold Kingdoms. It will be interesting to see if it succeeds.
