Take Two Interactive, the parent company of Grand Theft Auto series developer Rockstar Games, is in the process of acquiring Zynga for $12.7 billion in cash and shares. The purchase amount is being offered at a 64% premium on the Farmville creator’s closing share price on January 7th, according to the official press release. It’s worth noting that Zynga recently acquired Torchlight developer Echtra Games who are now working on an unannounced game.
