TechWars Online Looks To Bring Tactical Strategy Into An MMO Setting

TechWars Online is looking to do something that, at first glance, looks quite similar to MechWarrior Tactics. It is bringing turn-based, tactical mech combat to an online, free-to-play setting. The tactical part of the game takes place on a hex-based grid. Simple commands are used for attacking with your mech's various weapons or moving around.

But there's more to it. From the description on the Greenlight page, it sounds as if it has a persistent, Heroes and Generals-esque campaign map where a war plays out across multiple simultaneous battles between two different factions. Players will also be able to take part in tournaments that will offer "real" prizes.
