Funcom announced back in January that Tencent had made an offer to buy all of the studio’s shares, and it looks like the deal finally went through.

“Following the completion of the voluntary offer, Tencent became the owner of 77,365,864 shares in the company, representing approximately 95.11% of the shares and votes in the company,” said Funcom. The studio says that Tencent will be buying out the remaining shares and will be removing Funcom from the Oslo Stock Exchange listing.

Funcom’s portfolio of games include Conan Exiles, Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, Secret World Legends, and Dune among others. According to Funcom, they will continue to function as an independent company with no planned changes to management and staffing following the acquisition.

Details of the recent acquisition can be found on the Funcom official site.
