Terraria will be getting cross-play support in a few months’ time as developer Re-Logic begins works to bring console and mobile players together into a single game environment. The studio notes that they’ll need to do a lot of testing and that they’ll be rolling out the highly requested feature alongside Update 1.4.5 sometime in 2024.

“We were fortunate enough over this past month to have a bit of extra time to work on the future - a future where Terrarians everywhere can come together from all over the world to Dig, Fight, and Build - regardless of which platform on which they choose to play,” teased the indie studio.

Meanwhile, the team continues to work on fleshing out and polishing Update 1.4.5, although they’ve yet to lock in a release date and will likely only do so once everything is good and ready. “You know our mantra for updates - they are ‘done when they are done’. Hang in there with us a bit longer, it will be worth it.”
