The rumors that Ubisoft was set to announce a new The Crew game have turned out to be true, as most rumors in the video game world tend to be. The French publisher officially unveiled the third game in the multiplayer action driving franchise earlier today, called The Crew Motorfest, which will send players off to the tropical island of Hawaii.

“The Crew Motorfest builds on the legacy of The Crew franchise to make it the best open world action-driving experience in the series,” announced Ubisoft. “Get ready to race through the city streets of Honolulu, go down the ashy volcano slopes, adventure deep in the lush rainforest, drift along the curvy mountain roads, or just chill down on the sunny beach.”

As with most of the studio’s releases, Ubisoft has kicked off its Insider Program for the game and is now accepting signups for a chance to jump behind the wheel in one of its upcoming closed beta tests, the first of which started earlier today.

The Crew Motorfest doesn’t have a release window as of yet but is expected to launch later this year. Hopefully, it doesn’t end up as another Skull and Bones. In the meantime, you can take a gander at some of the locations that you’ll get to drive through in the teaser trailer below.
