The Cycle: Frontier Officially Launches And Kicks Off Season 1 Next Month
The Cycle: Frontier, Yager Development’s in-development PvPvE shooter, is officially launching next month with a pre-season soft launch of sorts scheduled for June 8th. Official release is slated for June 22nd which will also mark the start of Season 1.
“Welcome to Fortuna III, a forsaken world where the stakes are high and the rewards higher! Prospect for resources and other riches on an abandoned alien world ravaged by a deadly storm, inhabited by monsters, and frequently raided by other ambitious Prospectors.”
The Cycle: Frontier is a unique battle royale-like shooter without the winner-takes-all mechanic. Instead, players will drop down into one of the rotating map instances across Fortuna and will be given a limited amount of time to mine precious resources on the surface of the alien planet. They’ll then have to take the resources to an evacuation ship before it leaves the planet. Along the way, they’ll have to watch out for dangerous creatures and other players looking to steal their hard-earned spoils, or vice versa.
The game is currently available on Steam and the Epic Games Store and will be free-to-play when it comes out in June. In the meantime, you can check out the official launch trailer below.
