The Elder Scrolls Online year-long Gates of Oblivion storyline continues next month as ZeniMax Online Studios announces the official release dates for the Waking Flame DLC, which will introduce two new four-player PvE dungeons to the game: the Dread Cellar and Red Petal Bastion.

The Dread Cellar

In this new dungeon, you must team up with Lucilla Caprenia, a Battlemage in training, and her master Martus Tullius to investigate this once-feared prison and uncover the origins of the Daedric cultists and monsters that now inhabit it.

Red Petal Bastion

At the doors to the Red Petal Bastion dungeon, a devotee of Azura needs your help to reclaim his shrine’s stolen artifacts from [the Knights of the Silver Rose] and discover the terrible secrets behind their ignoble fall to darkness and subsequent hoarding of Tamriel’s relics.

Waking Flame will launch alongside Update 31 for the base game which promises an exhaustive list of bug fixes, quality-of-life changes, and performance improvements, including a quick-reply function for in-game mail, new houses, new houseguests, new furnishings, and more.

Waking Flame and Update 31 is coming to PC/Mac and Google Stadia on August 23 and consoles on August 31. PC/Mac players can now get first dibs, and hopefully give some constructive feedback, on the both the DLC and the base game update which are now live on the Public Test Server.
