The Elder Scrolls Online Celebrates Halloween With The Return Of The Witches Festival
The Elder Scrolls Online kicks off their Halloween celebrations on October 24th with the return of the annual Witches Festival. During the event, players will get to enjoy a two-hour 100% EXP bonus by simply using the Witchmother’s Whistle memento. Using the whistle will also summon a Witchmother’s Cauldron which you can use to turn yourself into one of the undead.
If you haven’t acquired a Witchmoter’s Whistle memento during the previous Witches Festivals, you can get one this year by completing the free “Witchmother’s Bargain” quest from the Crown Store.
Players can also loot Plunder Skulls by defeating boss monsters during the festival. Plunder Skulls can be cracked open to receive a variety of seasonal items and collectibles including a Runebox containing one of four Witches Festival-themed masks, Hollowjack Motif pages or books, Witches Festival-themed recipes, Bewitching Alchemy materials, and pieces of the Skeleton Marionette and Apple-Bobbing Cauldron mementos. Combine 10 pieces of the Skeleton Marionette and 7 pieces of the Apple-Bobbing Cauldron to craft the respective collectibles.
In addition, players will also receive Dremora Plunder Skulls the first time they defeat different boss types each day. Dremora Plunder Skulls have a chance to contain the same items mentioned above with the addition of a Dremora Motif Style Page, a Glenmoril Armor Outfit Style page, a Glenmoril Treasure map, and a Witches Festival Writ. Complete the writs to unlock a seasonal achievement that comes with the “Witch” title and a Witch Hat collectible.
Two Event Tickets will also drop along with the Dremora Plunders Skulls. Event tickets can be used to purchase Snow Berries of Bloom which can then be used to evolve your Nascent Indrik into a Pure-Snow Indrik.
