The Elder Scrolls Online Dev Blog Talks About The Upcoming Icereach Dungeon
The Elder Scrolls Online community gets their first look at the first of the two new dungeons rolling out with the Harrowstorm DLC. A new dev blog gives fans a few interesting tidbits of information on the upcoming Icereach dungeon not the least of which is the return of Lyris Titanborn to the main questline.
“North of Skyrim and across the perilous Sea of Ghosts lies the frigid island of Icereach, home to the reclusive witches of the Icereach Coven. Reportedly originating from this barren rock, a terrible storm is lashing Skyrim’s northern coast, sinking longships and threatening the lives and livelihoods of the local Nords.”
In Icereach, players face off against a coven of powerful witches, their savage cultist defenders, plague-ridden zombies, and other beasts that have made their home on the island ending with a final boss fight against the combined powers of the coven’s sisters and their leader, Mother Ciannait. “The witches of the Icereach Coven do not shy away from magic in any form,” says Dungeon Lead Mike Finnigan. “You will fight creatures born of snow and storm, fire, electricity, and even elements of the undead.”
Various rewards await those who successfully clear the new dungeon including four new gear sets, collectible dyes, style pages, furnishings, and more. The Lyris’ Icereach Battle Axe outfit style is also up for grabs for players who manage to clear the dungeon in Veteran difficulty.
The Harrowstorm DLC launch marks the start of the year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline and is scheduled to go live on February 24th on PC/Mac and on March 10th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Don’t forget to watch ESO Live which has been rescheduled for 6pm ET later tonight.
