The Elder Scrolls Online Plans To Patch In Update 28 Crash Fixes Next Week
When Update 28 rolled out in The Elder Scrolls Online in September, it didn’t go as smoothly as the developers would have wanted it to. Both PC and console players started experiencing crashes, skill resets, missing skill points, and a few other problems.
Most issues have already been fixed through patches over the past few weeks but active game crashes and skill resets continue to plague players on all platforms. “We recognize the most recently published patch for PC and consoles did not fix all the active game crashes you’ve been experiencing since Update 28 was released, and we’ve been hard at work identifying these crashes and working on getting them fixed,” tweeted ZeniMax Online Studios.
According to the Twitter thread, the team is currently working on a patch that will be deployed on December 7th on PC and December 9th on consoles. “This patch will include fixes for some of the more prevalent game crashes, some console-specific crash fixes, refunds for missing skill points for PC players, and a few additional fixes,” wrote the devs.
The team also assured players that the Undaunted Event, which had already been previously delayed because of the ongoing issues, will still go live as scheduled on December 3rd. “During this in-game event, you can earn bonus rewards and glory for completing any of Tamriel’s four-player dungeons,” explained ZeniMax. “When you defeat a dungeon’s final boss during this event, in addition to its regular rewards it also drops an Undaunted Reward Box. These celebrated containers can hold all kinds of useful and valuable loot, including Undaunted Keys, Undaunted Plunder (to sell for gold), motif pages, repair kits, transmute crystals, and more.”
Update 28 went live alongside the Markarth DLC which will conclude the epic Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline. You can check out the official gameplay trailer for the DLC below.
