The Elder Scrolls Online Temporarily Disables Premium Costume Due To Invisibility Exploit

Becoming invisible is one of the best superpowers to have. It’s right up there with x-ray vision and the ability to fly. Apparently, a new premium costume in The Elder Scrolls Online lets you do just that. Unfortunately, that isn’t exactly what the developers had in mind when they designed the costume.

According to a post on Twitter, the Dungeon Explorer costume, which hid a character’s shield when stowed, also had an unwanted side effect of making a character’s weapons, and sometimes the character itself, invisible during PvP. As you might have guessed, this was quickly exploited by a number of players, forcing ZeniMax to temporarily disable the said costume. The costume will be restored once the exploit has been fixed.
