The Elder Scrolls Online Temporarily Disables Premium Costume Due To Invisibility Exploit

elder scrolls online backstab nightBecoming invisible is one of the best superpowers to have. It’s right up there with x-ray vision and the ability to fly. Apparently, a new premium costume in The Elder Scrolls Online lets you do just that. Unfortunately, that isn’t exactly what the developers had in mind when they designed the costume.

According to a post on Twitter, the Dungeon Explorer costume, which hid a character’s shield when stowed, also had an unwanted side effect of making a character’s weapons, and sometimes the character itself, invisible during PvP. As you might have guessed, this was quickly exploited by a number of players, forcing ZeniMax to temporarily disable the said costume. The costume will be restored once the exploit has been fixed.
