Nexon Announces Launch Date For Free-To-Play UE5 Shooter The First Descendant

Nexon officially announced a launch date for The First Descendant by way of a snazzy new cinematic trailer during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest trailer palooza this weekend. The Unreal Engine 5-powered free-to-play looter shooter has been moving through various testing phases over the past few months and will finally be launching on PC and consoles on July 2.

The trailer itself doesn’t offer much in terms of gameplay, but it does give viewers a glimpse of several new bosses and characters that will be available in the launch build along with plenty of eye candy and gunplay to hold fans over until next month’s launch.

The First Descendant will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S with full cross-play between all platforms. You can check out the new trailer below.
