The Twisted Marionette And Legendary Armory Now Live In Guild Wars 2
As announced last week, this week’s Guild Wars 2 update features the return of the Twisted Marionette encounter along with the debut of the Legendary Armory.
The Twisted Marionette is a massive server-wide encounter that was briefly available as part of the conclusion of the first-ever Living World season. The encounter was removed after a few weeks and hasn’t returned to the game for over six years because of how the first Living World season was designed… until now.
“The Twisted Marionette battle is now available via the Scrying Pool in the Eye of the North! Gather your allies – and your courage – to face the updated encounter; without a large and coordinated team, you’ll be hopelessly outmatched. The Twisted Marionette battle can be entered at any time by an organized squad of up to 50 players.”
The Eye of the North is now accessible to all characters shortly after they reach level 80 and will no longer require the Path of Fire expansion.
The Twisted Marionette also comes with new achievement categories which will be available in the Bonus Events category for one week before they’re permanently moved to the Side Stories category. The encounter’s original achievement category, The Origin of Madness, has also been moved from the Historical Category to the Bonus Events category for opening week before it joins the rest of the Twisted Marionette achievements in the Side Story category.
The Legendary Amory, on the other hand, is a new feature allows players to share Legendary items between multiple characters in a single account. As part of the new feature’s release, Legendary items are now account-bound instead of being bound to a single a character.
“The Legendary Armory is a new and improved way to manage your legendary gear and upgrades. Once a legendary item is added to the armory, it will be available to every level-80 character on your account.”
