Afrofantasy MMORPG The Wagadu Chronicles Kicks Off Its Week-Long Third Alpha Test
The Wagadu Chronicles has kicked off its third alpha test sending selected players back to the African-inspired fantasy world for a taste of what it has to offer. Unlike other studios that require NDAs for early playtests, developer Twin Drums Studios is allowing participating testers to share footage of their experience, so expect to see gameplay videos pop up over the course of the week.
The upcoming Afrofantasy MMORPG is the first of its kind and promises an open-world sandbox experience with turn-based combat based on the D&D 5th Edition ruleset and is set in a rich fantasy world inspired by African mythology.
Sign-ups for the alpha test are still open and the team will be inviting new testers in waves throughout the week, so just sit tight if you still haven’t received an invite. The first alpha test was held in February 2022 and the second one seven months later in September so if you want to get hands-on time with the game, now is a good time to throw your name into the hat as the next playtest will probably be months away.
