The Witches Festival Returns To Elder Scrolls Online On October 21
The Elder Scrolls Online is gearing up for the start of Halloween festivities as the citizens and brave adventurers of Tamriel await the return of the Witches Festival next week. The event kicks off at 7am PDT on October 21st and will run until 7am PDT on November 2nd with exclusive rewards up for grabs, including XP boosts, event tickets, and Plunder Skulls.
“During the Witches Festival, when you defeat a boss monster, you’ll receive a Plunder Skull container in addition to your regular rewards. These bloodcurdling boxes have a chance to contain some of the following items:
- Fragments of the new Witch-Tamed Bear Dog pet called Bonedust Pigments
- Combine 10 fragments to craft this collectible
- Hollowjack style items

Dremora style items
- Witches Festival-themed recipes
- Witches Festival-themed furnishings and furnishing recipes
- Bewitching Alchemy reagents
- … and an assortment of creepy and valuable items!”
A special Dremora Plunder Skull will also drop the first time a certain boss type is killed.
Don’t forget to complete the “Witchmother’s Bargain” quest from the Crown Store to receive the Witchmother’s Whistle which you can use to get a two-hour 100% XP bonus. The whistle will also summon a Witchmother's Cauldron that players can use to turn themselves into the undead.
