There's A Slim Chance That Dragon's Dogma Online Might Be Headed West One Day

Despite various rumors over the past year, Dragon's Dogma Online has remained a Japan exclusive since its launch last August. It has been confirmed that the game will be released in Taiwan at some point, but it has yet to happen. There have also been trademarks filed in the United States and New Zealand, but the game has yet to be officially announced for release in either region, much yet released.

Today, however, Steparu is reporting that, in addition to news about the upcoming Season 2.1 update, the game's Director, Kento Kinoshita, made a vague statement in a recent interview that might imply that the game is headed West one day. The exact statement is as follows.

Once we have established a solid foundation in Japan, I'd like to consider bringing this game overseas, where there are a great many online game players.

It's unclear what he's referring to, be it the Taiwanese version or a potential English version in some region, so it may be too soon to get our hopes up. Regardless, the team at Capcom appears to at least be keeping the rest of the world in mind when considering the future of Dragon's Dogma Online.
