Thousands Of World of Warcraft Classic Players Band Together To Start Fresh On A Low-Pop Realm

world of warcraft illidan bannerWorld of Warcraft Classic players’ request for a fresh start server alongside the Burning Crusade launch have apparently fallen on deaf ears prompting players to take matters into their own hands. Thousands of players on EU realms have banded together to join a low-population server and start from scratch in an initiative called The Fresh Crusade.

“This makes sense especially in the current state where most servers don't have a levelling scene with players very much soloing their way from 1-60 with issues finding groups for dungeons/group quests, which is an integral part of the WoW Classic journey,” said Caszhar, the initiative’s organizer.

According to Eurogamer, around 1300 players from seven guilds will be joining the massive re-roll initiative on Friday, March 5 to start fresh in a server that hasn’t been overrun by bots and without economy inflation.

“With all of us starting together, the economy will be more of an even playing ground compared to the higher/mid-size population servers,” added Caszhar. He also says that starting on the “fresh” server months before The Burning Crusade’s release will allow players to take part in the vanilla experience and to form friendships, groups, and communities, ahead of the expansion’s launch.

The Fresh Crusade has its own Discord channel if you want to know more or want to join in on all the re-roll fun.

The Burning Crusade launched on the original World of Warcraft in 2007, introducing the Draenei and Blood Elves races along with the Eye of the Storm and the PvP Arena. The expansion also allowed Alliance players to roll a Shaman with the Draenei Shaman class and Horde players to roll a Paladin with the Blood Elf Paladin class. Before the expansion’s release the Paladin and Shaman were exclusive to the Alliance and Horde, respectively.
