Trove Is Headed To PlayStation 4 And Xbox One Later This Year

Trion Worlds announced today that Trove is heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year. It's interesting that the company decided to go this route because the small selection of abilities per class and non-targeting gameplay are conducive to playing with a controller.

However, according to Trion Worlds CEO Scott Hartsman, it's more than just that. He was quoted stating the following.

We want to be everywhere that gamers are, and consoles are an important part of that strategy. Trove is ideal for PS4 and Xbox One. From its fast paced gameplay to its extremely broad appeal, we expect Trove to be a hit with console gamers of all kinds.

Additionally, Trion Worlds announced today that Trove has hit 5 million registered players. While it doesn't reflect the active userbase at all, it is still quite the achievement. A nice infographic, embedded below, was included with the announcement.
