Trove's Console Versions Officially Launch On March 14th, 3 Million Players

Despite reports that the PlayStation 4 version of Trove would need a bit more time than the Xbox One version from mid-last month, it seems that both will be launching at the same time. Trion Worlds announced yesterday that both versions will be going live on March 14th. The game will be launching as one of the Most Played games on Xbox One's top charts, as well as one of the Top Free games. In total, more than three million people have played the console versions of Trove.

Trion Worlds CEO Scott Hartsman had the following to say about the announcement.

As Trion's first next-gen console title, Trove is already dominating the Free to Play charts, with official launch still a couple of weeks away. We've always believed that Trove could be the ideal MMO experience on consoles, and we're thrilled to see so many Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players jumping into the game.

Those that purchase anything at all before the game launches will be given the dragon mount "Disaeon the Immortal," which can be seen in the GIF embedded below.

Additionally, in celebration of each console version garnering more than 1.5 million players, Trion is giving away "rare mounts" to everyone that takes part in the Open Beta. Xbox One players will get the "Trovian Tumbler," whereas PlayStation 4 players will get the "Chromatic Cumulus."
