Seafaring MMORPG Uncharted Waters Origin Gets A Global Launch Date Of March 7

Koei Tecmo is celebrating the Uncharted Waters franchise’s 30^th anniversary with the release of Uncharted Waters Origin in just a few short days. The seafaring MMORPG officially sets sail on March 7^th and will serve as a reboot of the original game that first launched on PC in the early 90s.

Like previous games in the series, the latest is set in the 16^th century during the Age of Discovery when European nations began exploring the rest of the world by sea. The game’s campaign will follow the journeys of Admirals Catalina and Joao, the characters from the original game, as they explore a realistic 1:320 representation of the real world as it was back then, complete with historically accurate landmarks, relics, and weather conditions.

Uncharted Waters Origin initially launched in South Korea in August 2022 and will be available in English, Chinese, and Japanese when it comes out next week on PC via Steam, Steam Deck, Google Play, and the App Store.
