Upcoming Rune 2 Update Will Completely Revamp New-Player Experience, Now Live On The PTR

rune 2 boar helm bannerRagnarok Game and Studio 369 have just announced their plans to revamp the Rune 2 new-player experience in an upcoming update. According to the official press release, the update will feature a complete rework of the opening chapter of the Viking-inspired multiplayer RPG.

“[. . .] Instead of repeating the same loop in the game until players are powerful enough to kill Loki, the Ages of Raganrok will progress linearly. Over thirty new main and side quests are planned for the new narrative direction of RUNE 2 where every Age will have a different boss encounter that will progress the new story forward.”

The tutorial has also been rebuilt based on feedback gathered from the community. The new tutorial system will impart players with all the knowledge they need to master the game. These include equipping items, crafting, repairing weapons and armor, and more. The update will also feature improved voice over and audio quality, destructible buildings, new villages and villagers, and more.

These changes are now live on the PTR. You’ll find the full PTR patch notes on the Rune 2 official site.
