Vindictus is due for a big update in two weeks that will undoubtedly strike a chord with the free-to-play MMORPG’s PvP players. The said update will completely remove all forms of PvP from the game, including all PvP-related systems, mechanics, and events.

According to developer Nexon, all PvP content will be terminated effective January 23. That includes siege matches, the arena, tournaments, deathmatch, and sports day. Associated game features and elements will also be removed from the user interface alongside PvP NPCs, quests, storylines, triumph medals, and the entire sports day zone.

“Our sincere gratitude goes out to those who enjoyed and appreciated the PVP content,” Nexon said. “We will do our best to become a Vindictus team that always provides better contents for our players.”

Fortunately, the Vindictus PvP community is apparently not that big and most players are taking the news quite well. Western players have also been expecting the news for quite some time now, as PvP features have already been removed in the Korean and Chinese versions of the game.
