According to GamesIndustry.biz, Vivendi has sold off its remaining Activision Blizzard shares. The last 41.5 million shares the company owned—accounting for 5.7% of all Activision Blizzard shares—were reportedly sold for a staggering $1.1 billion. According to a representative from Vivendi, "the decision [...] was taken in view of the evolution of the Activision stock price." Last year, shares went for around $18.55 a piece while shares are currently worth $35.40 a piece.

With the sale complete, Activision Blizzard is finally free of Vivendi. There may be more to it than meets the eye, though, as Vivendi reportedly bought shares of both Ubisoft and Gameloft stock late last year.
