WildStar Gets Reloaded, Goes F2P On September 29th

After keeping prospective players in suspense, after a single closed beta phase, WildStar's free-to-play relaunch, titled "WildStar Reloaded," has a release date. As they put it in the press release, the relaunch is "more than just a business model conversion," featuring a revised new player experience, veteran rewards, new content, and more. This relaunch will happen on September 29th.

To further prepare for the launch, Carbine and NCSoft have announced that they will be launching a second closed beta phase tomorrow, accessible to all subscribers and those who have been given a beta key. The first closed beta focused on testing the improved new player experience. This test will focus on the economy, allowing players to purchase NCoin in a risk-free environment where all purchases will be copied to their live characters at launch.
