World War 2 Online: Battleground Europe Will Be Free-To-Play On Steam For 2 Weeks

world war 2 online sandbags bannerIf you’re looking for something new to do over the holidays, then World War 2 Online, a.k.a. Battleground Europe, might just pique your interest. The subscription-based WW2-inspired MMOFPS will be free-to-play for two weeks starting today up until January 5th.

World War 2 Online arrived on Steam back in 2017 where it’s been in Early Access ever since. The game originally launched on PC on June 6th, 2001 on the 57th anniversary of D-day. It was re-released in 2005 as World War 2 Online: Battleground Europe following significant changes to the game.
