Blizzard Publishes Wrath Of The Lich King Classic Launch Schedule And Survival Guide
Blizzard is paving the way for the launch of Wrath of the Lich King on the World of Warcraft Classic servers later this month with the official release schedule for the expansion. Players from all over the world will technically get to jump in at the same time but with the Earth being round and all we’ll be getting it at different times.
In UTC, the expansion will be going live at 10 p.m. on September 26th. That’s 3 p.m. PDT for those in North America. For those on the other side of the world, that’s 6 a.m. in Hong Kong, 7 a.m. in Korea, and 8 a.m. for those living in the land down under, a.k.a. Australia.
As with previous expansion releases, Blizzard has published a video survival guide to help get players acquainted (or reacquainted) with Wrath of the Lich King. The studio also posted a separate written guide with information on the expansion’s features, zones, and the Death Knight.
Meanwhile, the World of Warcraft Classic servers continue to be plagued by extremely long wait times and queues, prompting Blizzard to open up two new Fresh Start servers (one server each for NA and EU) and to disable new character creation on the existing ones.
