Wurm Online Says Recent Elevation And Launcher Changes Were A Success, Annual Summer Friend-A-Long Event Now Live
Earlier this month, Code Club introduced a number of major changes to Wurm Online including a server reset, a revamped Elevation Map, and an updated launcher. The team has been evaluating these changes over the past weeks and, according to a forum post last Friday, everything’s running perfectly.
“The elevation reset has seen a lot of action and plenty of people have dropped in to check it out, myself included (more on that shortly), we've seen good player numbers and plenty of suggestions about what can be adjusted in it. Many will not be feasible until the long term overhaul but we are looking at them and discussing them where applicable.
The new launcher for Wurm has been an extremely smooth success, which is absolutely awesome! We'll be working on the bugs reported as well as getting the native launchers out for linux and mac, I'd like to thank you all for working with it and giving feedback where you had to!”
In other Wurm Online news, the annual Summer Friend-A-Long event is now in full swing and will be running until July 28th. During the Friendship Bay Summer Impalong 2019 community event, players will be able to band together to cast and imp for anyone for free. “Anyone can come, anyone can help imp. The only real restrictions is on channeling skill,” says Code Club. “I destroyed a mountain so you could all put your tents closer this year... cause you will need them. I always say if you didn't die at the imp-along you did it wrong, so don't fail me now.”
