X-Legend Entertainment's Honor of Heirs Mobile 'Play to Earn' Blockchain MMORPG Launches

X-Legend Entertainment, the Taiwanese game studio behind Grand Fantasia, Aura Kingdom, and over a dozen other MMOs, announced today that their blockchain play-to-earn mobile MMORPG 'Honor of Heirs' launched worldwide today. The game is natively designed for mobile devices but there's also a PC client available on the official website.

X-Legend has had success in the past with their anime MMORPGs Aura Kingdom and Grand Fantasia. Both of these PC MMORPGs were actually pretty solid and both are still in service today through Aeria Games.

The play to earn elements are ultimately a secondary aspect of the game and its success will ultimately be based on its gameplay. Based on what I've seen so far in the gameplay trailers, Honor of Heirs looks like just another generic auto-play mobile MMORPG with crypto elements tacked on. Even the graphics are generic and uninspiring. X-Legend is known for their stylistic anime graphics, but went with a bland semi-realistic fantasy look for Honor of Heirs.

The company partnered with WEMIX, the platform that powers Mir 4 and a dozen other play to earn crypto games, to power their crypto features. Players can earn an in-game currency called Mithril that can be exchanged for HONCO tokens, which can be traded for WEMIX, which can then be exchanged for more popular crypto currencies like WEMIX and Ethereum/Bitcoin.
