Final Fantasy 11 celebrated its 18th birthday last month but the celebrations had to be postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. After being delayed for nearly a month, FF11 players can finally celebrate the game’s coming of age as Square Enix officially kicks off the Mandragora Mania anniversary event today. As the age-old saying goes, it’s better late than never right?

“The anniversary event, titled Mandragora Mania, runs through June 29th and allows players to receive various rewards by completing event content and collecting a special currency. Additionally, all players can receive a Vana’versary mandragora shirt by speaking with one of the event Moogle NPCs in San d’Oria, Bastok, or Windurst.”

The June update is also live on the servers featuring the return of the Dullahan and Pteraketos tribes. Players can take on these fearsome foes to earn points that can be exchanged for various rewards. The update also comes with a new login campaign and increased drop rates for seals and crests, bonus loot for defeating certain monsters, and double Unity Accolades and rewards for successfully completing Records of Eminence quests.

Speaking of Unity Accolades, the developers have implemented a weekly cap for Sparks of Eminence and Unity Accolades as an added measure against real-money trading. The limit will reset every Sunday at 8am PDT.

You’ll find the full update notes on the Final Fantasy 11 official forums.
