Ran Online is an old school free to play MMORPG developed by Min Communications and published by GameSamba in the West. The game originally launched in the West back in 2004, but the international version (ex USA) is called "Ran World". Unlike most MMOs, Ran Online is set in a unique school campus environment in a modern world. Despite the game's age, the game is still around, largely due to its appealing PvP options. Unfortunately it's not an easy game for new players to get into, but those feeling adventurous can check it out. The International version, Ran World, is more popular, but U.S. users must play on the GameSamba version due to IP restrictions.
