Do you remember walking into town and seeing the onslaught of player-runs shops? AFKers showing off their wares to passerbys, hoping to snag some zeny for items they collect on their adventures. I miss those days. What happened to player run shops?

Nothing says community like an economy. But so many games lately seem to undermine their economies by limiting player trading, preventing player run shops, etc.. Black Desert Online has an almost entirely solo crafting experience, whereas other games abandon auction houses, or limit trading with bind-on-pickup slapped on every item.

A few games offer a glimmer of hope but not enough. I want to bring back the days where players hussle me like street vendors demanding donations for their rap album.

From Mega Man II to Ape Escape, I've been playing games for as long as I can remember. I've spent months killing porings in Ragnarok Online and more recently lived a second life in Eve Online. I usually play as gUMBY, gUMBLEoni, or gUMBLes in-game.
