Activision Blizzard seems to be on a buying spree of late as it acquires yet another development studio only a month after snapping up e-sports company – Major League Gaming last January. Activision Blizzard completed the acquisition of Candy Crush developer King Digital Entertainment yesterday, effectively making the now-independent gaming company the largest in the world.

The gaming giant acquired King Digital Entertainment for a whopping $5.9 Billion in a deal that was first announced in November 2015. The newly-acquired mobile gaming company brings with it its fair share of users giving the combined companies over 500 Million users across nearly 200 countries. The acquisition also allows Activision Blizzard to effectively expand and solidify their hold on the mobile gaming market.
