gamigo Group announced today that its merger with Aeria Games is now complete. The full account of the transaction is as follows.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has contributed its 100 percent stake in Aeria Games and SevenGames Network to gamigo AG and is now a minority shareholder of gamigo AG with 33 percent. SevenGames Network GmbH will in future do business under the name of adspree media GmbH.

The rumored Aeria layoffs seem to coincide directly with the completion of the merger with gamigo, implying that those affected were made redundant. Unfortunately, there has been no news regarding what projects Aeria might be shutting down or whether said projects might include games that are currently running.

gamigo Group also announced that it has acquired highdigit. The summary of what highdigit offers, as well as the buyout, is as follows.

With its hd backend, highdigit GmbH offers games publishers and developers modular all-in-one solutions for the operation and marketing of their products. This includes payment services with more 100 international payment methods as well as marketing, CRM, analysis and support tools. highdigit cooperates with renowned customers, including Wingracers of Red Bull, PayPal as well as paysafecard. With this takeover the gamigo Group enlarges its platform strategy. The technical solution of the hd backend is a good supplement to the technical platform of the gamigo Group, more particularly in the field of software-as-a-service solutions. At the same time, the takeover results in a growth in the B2B customer portfolio and sales revenues.

gamigo CEO Remco Westermann had the following to say about the announcements.

Since 2014 gamigo AG has made more than 10 acquisitions, including technology and games companies as well as individual games assets. Further strategic takeovers by gamigo AG are already planned.
